- WhatsApp Information: Your WhatsApp phone number, WhatsApp profile name, and the timestamps of your messages.
- Message Content: The text, audio messages, and images (such as receipts) you send to our bot. This data is essential for extracting financial transactions.
- Derived Financial Data: Transactions, categories, amounts, and currencies parsed from your messages.
2. How We Process Your Data
Your messages are processed to track your finances:
- AI Processing: We use Large Language Models (LLMs), specifically Google Gemini, to extract transaction details from the text, audio, and images you send. Your data is sent securely to Google's API solely for this extraction process.
- Hosting & Storage: Our service runs on Vercel, and your ledger data (transactions, balances, metadata) is stored securely in MongoDB Atlas.
3. Data Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your data. Your financial data is your own.
We only share data with third-party service providers (such as Google for AI processing, Vercel for hosting, and MongoDB for database storage) strictly for the purpose of operating the Vela Finance service.
4. Data Security
We take the security of your data seriously and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your information against unauthorized access, loss, or alteration.
